What to prepare: Peter Brook said, “I can take any empty space and call it a bare stage. A man walks across this empty space whilst someone else is watching him, and this is all that is needed for an act of theatre to be engaged.” Someone doing something in a space, someone watching. For your audition, prepare your own “act of theatre,” your own theatrical event: Do something. In a space (Studio 194). I’ll be watching. Include something spoken. Use your imagination. Surprise me. Feel free to utilize any and all of your performative talents—musical, athletic, gymnastical, magical, whatever you’ve got—work from your strengths. No more than two minutes long, please. Also come prepared to write down all your schedule conflicts from Dec. 1, 2017 through March 21, 2018.

Stow Players announces auditions for “The Spitfire Grill,” a musical drama, November 19 & 20, from 7 – 9 pm at the Heritage Barn in Stow’s Silver Springs Park (Young Rd. entrance).
All audtioners will read from the script. They should prepare a song in the vein of the show, but NOT a song from the show itself. Bring music, an accompanist will be provided. (No “Happy Birthday” or “Star Spangled Banner” or the like.)
